High jump:  Let’s think about this:

Was Trevor the first high jumper?  - asked farmer Brown.   Surely not replied ulysses.

Men were jumping centuries before Trevor was born - continued Anthony …

Possibly replied farmer Brown - but I’ve seen Trevor - jump many fences - many times.

How high? - asked Caesar.

It was the weekend - of the round up - of the muscular - broad-chested - short legged - high country rams.

All the young men gathered at the wool shed - Trevor wearing his black T-shirt and short shorts … was first to jump the fence.

The fence stood at 1.2 metres - top wire - barbed .

He started his run from 3 meters - coming in at a 45 degree angle - 1/2 meter from the fence - he threw myself over the fence - landing firmly on his left leg.

So.  Farmer Brown was correct - today - Trevor was the first high jumper…

The rest is history… { vissa }
