earwig magazine: 1969 - 1971
I must thank "Random House books" ( Jenny Carlyon & Diana Marrow ) for bring back memories: including the story about "Earwing Printing" in their book - URBAN VILLAGE - the story of Ponsonby, Freeman Bay and St. Mary's Bay.
In 1969-70 when I was 19 years old: I stayed with Heather and John in their house in Norfolk street, Ponsonby (maybe for about three / four months ): they were lovely kind and generous people - sharing their knowledge and time: in fact they published a short poem of mine in one issue of their magazine. ( I only wish I had that copy today). Sadly: I have no photos of my own to add here - ( so without permission ) I have cut and pasted from the book some txt and photos - just to retain these memories ...
