All brass catches are manufactured from brass die-cast extrusion, this ensures conformity in size, they are then polished and coated with a protective clear lacquer.

Brass Care
Do not use harsh chemical or abrasive cleaners on door furniture. regular polishing with a wax polish using a soft cloth will help protect the lacquer.
Note: that deterioration of the lacquer will take place over a period of time due to environmental factors such as frequent usage, exposure to weather, abrasive cleaners and perspiration.
